AI & Data Usage
We use Artificial Intelligence to process your documents and generate study snippets. You have two options:
Online Mode: Uses Google Gemini API (cloud-based) - requires internet connection and API key
Offline Mode: Uses on-device models (Apple Intelligence, Qwen, Llama, Phi) - all processing happens locally, no data leaves your device
Uploaded documents are processed solely to generate study snippets
Your original documents are NOT sold to third parties
When using offline mode, your data never leaves your device and remains completely private
AI-generated content should be verified for critical accuracy
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Data sharing depends on your chosen AI mode:
Online Mode: Documents are shared with Google Gemini API for processing (only when you choose this option)
Offline Mode: No data is shared with any third parties - all processing happens on your device
We may share data to comply with legal obligations or protect our rights and user safety
Your study snippets and progress data are stored locally on your device
Data Security
We implement robust security measures to protect your data. Uploaded documents are processed securely and stored locally on your device. When using offline mode, your documents never leave your device, providing maximum privacy and security.
Data Deletion
All your data (uploaded documents, generated snippets, and progress) is stored locally on your device. You can delete your uploaded documents, courses, and all associated data at any time directly from the app. Deletion is permanent and immediate.
Children's Privacy
DoomStudy is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided us with information.
