DoomStudy · AI quiz generator

Make a quiz from your notes with AI

DoomStudy is a free app that turns your notes into practice quizzes. Upload a PDF, PowerPoint or Word document and the AI writes multiple-choice questions, true/false questions and Q&A cards based on that material only.

Quizzes show up in your feed between facts and key concepts, so you test yourself every few swipes instead of saving all the practice for the night before the exam.

How it works

Step 1

Upload your notes

Add PDFs, PPTX slides or DOCX files to a course.

Step 2

Generate questions

AI writes multiple-choice, true/false and Q&A questions from the content.

Step 3

Answer as you scroll

Quiz cards appear in your feed, so practice becomes a habit.

Question types

Multiple choice: a question with several options, generated from a specific point in your material. True/false: quick checks for definitions, dates and claims. Q&A: an open question with the answer revealed on the card.

Mix them with fact and concept cards, or create custom card types for your subject.

Why quizzing yourself beats rereading

Retrieving an answer from memory, called active recall, is one of the most reliable study techniques. Every time you answer a question, the memory gets stronger, while rereading mostly creates a feeling of familiarity.

DoomStudy makes retrieval practice frictionless: there is no quiz to set up, the questions are already in your feed.

Control what gets quizzed

Choose which files feed the generator, how many questions each document produces, and whether to use Google Gemini or an offline on-device model. Add new files before an exam and fresh questions start appearing.

Frequently asked questions

Can AI make a quiz from my notes?

+

Yes. DoomStudy uses AI to generate multiple-choice, true/false and Q&A questions directly from your uploaded notes, PDFs, PowerPoints and Word documents. The questions are based only on your material, and they appear in a swipeable feed so you practise while you scroll. The app is free on iPhone and Android.

How do I make multiple-choice questions from a PDF?

+

Upload the PDF to a course in DoomStudy and make sure multiple-choice is enabled in your card types. The AI reads the document and writes multiple-choice questions with several options, which then appear in your study feed. You can generate them online with Gemini or offline with an on-device model.

Is the DoomStudy quiz generator free?

+

Yes. DoomStudy is free on the App Store and Google Play, with no subscription, and the source code is open on GitHub under the MIT license.
